Start off by making the chalk. You can incorporate a little lesson on fractions, especially if you double the recipe! here's the recipe:

Use your new chalk to "play" ice cream multiplication.

Pick one times table per day and wash off the driveway with a hose when done! Let's say the 4x table is chosen. Write these facts out without the answers for reference. These can be written with chalk on the playing surface. (driveway, sidewalk)

Someone is chosen to be the ice cream maker and all other people are customers. (one other person as a customer is fine, too.) The customer(s) "state" their order like this: "I would like 4 ice cream cones with 4 scoops each, please." The ice cream maker "fills" their order by drawing it with chalk, something like this:  The ice cream maker finds the appropriate fact in the written list , counts up the scoops, and fills in the answer.

The next customer chooses a fact that hasn't been used yet, and states it in the same manner as above: "I would like _____ ice cream cones with ____ scoops each". The ice cream maker follows the same procedure as before and if all of the facts in the written list are done without a mistake, the ice cream maker is given the title of the "Grand Scoopa" and everyone gets a real ice cream! (that's up to you, mom or dad!)
